AC Milan have closed their third signing of the summer window, with Ismael Bennacer set to arrive from Empoli.
After the signings of Rade Krunic and Theo Hernandez, the Rossoneri have scored their third hit of the mercato, addressing a key area in the process.
Everything is now in place for the arrival of Bennancer from Empoli: as we have learned, the promising Algerian midfielder arrives for a sum close to €16million plus bonuses.
He could undergo his medical examinations at La Madonnina clinic as soon as Monday, but Milan are not stopping in the mean time.
Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and the rest of the leadership are at work to add a central defender and another midfielder.
The trail leading to Dejan Lovren seems to have cooled down, while on Jordan Veretout both Napoli and Roma are providing fierce competition for Milan.
For the Frenchman, Milan do not want to spend more than €12-13 million, perhaps including a counterpart such as Lucas Biglia.
However the salary of the Argentine remains prohibitive for Fiorentina. The club are also looking to raise capital, with offers for Samu Castillejo and Fabio Borini being encouraged.
Then, another three signings could arrive.
