CM: Milan willing to sign short-term renewal to keep Donnarumma – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Gigio Donnarumma is yet to sign his new contract with Milan and the negotiations between the parties have turned out to be very tough. His agent, Mino Raiola, is in no mood to back down from the maxi requests.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri have tabled an offer of €7m plus €1m in bonuses per year, which they believe is a fair amount. Raiola, however, continues to ask for €10m per year plus bonuses, linked to personal targets.

Meanwhile, the agent is also waiting to understand if Milan are willing to make a new attempt, perhaps once Champions League is secured. Per the report, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are opening up to the possibility of a short-term deal.

However, it won’t be just one year that has been suggested by some outlets, but rather two years. This could be the right compromise to ensure that Donnarumma will remain at the club for what is an important phase.
