GdS: Between Scudetto and Champions League – Ibrahimovic prepares for season finale

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was back at Milanello yesterday after spending the international break back in Sweden, having made his comeback in the national team. Now, however, he’s focused on Milan and the season finale.

As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), it will be essential for the Rossoneri to have Ibrahimovic in top form for what remains of the season. Champions League qualification is closer, but the Scudetto dream also remains.

Stefano Pioli and his men have shown that they can perform even without the 39-year-old on the pitch. Having said that, they are a different side with him available and his importance has been highlighted especially in this tough period.

In the 14 league games in which the Swede has scored a goal from 22 July to today, Milan have never lost (12W, 2D). In short, they almost always win when the striker scores. Last season, he scored 7 in the final 10 games and he will be looking for something similar.
