CM: Milan’s sporting director tried to sign Fiorentina star at Roma – the background

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking for a striker ahead of next season as Zlatan Ibrahimovic isn’t exactly getting any younger, certainly not able to play every game from start to finish. One man has been heavily linked with the Rossoneri.

The player in question is Dusan Vlahovic, who has had a very good season despite the fact that Fiorentina have been poor. He has bagged 12 goals and two assists in 27 appearances and he’s still just 21-years-old.

According to Calciomercato.com, it’s not exactly a surprise that Milan are keeping a close eye on the striker, as their sporting director Ricky Massatra is very fond of him. In fact, he tried to sign him when he was a director at Roma.

He recommended the player to the sporting director, who was Monchi at the time, but ultimately he wasn’t listened to. The Rossoneri’s interest now thus isn’t based on just this season and it remains to be seen if they will take any concrete steps.
