According to Calciomercato.com, the relationship between former Milan captain Ricardo Montolivo and coach Rino Gattuso has broken down. It has been reported that Montolivo was attempting to terminate his contract with the club and today it has emerged that the intentions of the club are the same.
It was clear that the relationship between the club and player is not ideal when the player did not travel to the United States for the preseason tour.
The player has been training, but is not expected to get playing time, because of both Montolivo’s representative and the player himself.
Gattuso has been fed up with Montolivo’s attitude in the past few weeks, as he sees the player’s attitude as lazy. It is only a matter of time until the former Milan captain and Italy international leaves the club whether it be through termination of the contract or a sale.
