Andriy Shevchenko has a special place for AC Milan in his heart. Yesterday, the Rossoneri legend was in Milan to celebrate his recent birthday with his close friends: having dinner with Boban, Maldini as well as many other former teammates of his.
Amid rumours linking him with a return to the Rossoneri, it was a special occasion to say the least. However, as Calciomercato.com reports, the dinner was totally informal and there were no talks of a potential takeover on the bench.
Instead, it was an opportunity to meet up, great each other and also discuss the fate of the club. Before the meeting, the report continues, Boban and Maldini had already probed Shevchenko though it was nothing more than a survey.
The former striker, however, reiterated that he wants to stay with Ukraine for the Euros next summer, jokingly telling Boban and Maldini that he doesn’t want to take a step back in his career. As the report concludes, a return won’t take place anytime soon.
