CM: The reason behind Milan’s meeting with Jorge Mendes revealed

By Oliver Fisher -

Two names were the subject of discussion during AC Milan’s meeting with Jorge Mendes last week, a report claims.

MilanNews.it noted that the Rossoneri had met with Mino Raiola to discuss Zlatan Ibrahimovic as well as some of his other clients, but La Gazzetta dello Sport also reported that director Zvonomir Boban also spoke with Jorge Mendes on the same day.

According to Calciomercato.com, Rossoneri officials met with Mendes in a hotel in the center of Milano, where there was a meeting regarding the future of Andre Silva.

The Portuguese striker moved to Eintracht Frankfurt on a dry two-year loan without obligation or option to buy due to time issues, with Ante Rebic coming the other way on the same terms.

Mendes reportedly met with Milan to understand a potential figure to set for the Germans to buy Silva alright, so that if they start thinking about a permanent transfer they know the starting point.

In addition, Milan reiterated their desire to give full confidence to Rafael Leao, the report adds.

Mendes also controls the striker, bought from Lille in the summer, but it was made clear that the Diavolo do not intend to loan him out in January despite rumours circulating suggesting otherwise.
