The January transfer window is fast approaching, and AC Milan are already at work to identify possible reinforcements for Stefano Pioli’s squad. One of the names on their list, according to various outlets, is Thomas Müller.
The news first broke a few days ago, as the German outlet Kicker stated that both Milan and Inter are interested in the veteran, who could leave Bayern Munich in January to get more playing time.
According to Calciomercato.com, however, the striker has been proposed to the Rossoneri but there are no confirmations on any negotiations as of yet. The feeling is that Müller’s current salary of around €15m would be a huge obstacle.
In other words, we can only wait and see, though it seems unlikely as Milan already have several strikers. Currently, Pioli has Rafael Leao, Kris Piatek and Ante Rebic at his disposal for the position, meaning he isn’t exactly lacking options.
