Mattia Caldara is one of the players that could leave Milan before the start of the season, despite having just returned from an 18-month loan spell at Atalanta. Now, Torino have set their sights on him, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato.com, the scenario in which the centre-back remains at Milan is very unlikely and thus a move is on the cards. The latest team to have joined the race is Torino, very keen on the former Atalanta man.
Il Toro have already initiated contacts with Milan and the player’s entourage to probe the ground for a move. However, they need to sell one of their own centre-backs before making a move for Caldara.
The proposed formula is a loan with an option to buy and Torino would also like to get some help with Caldara’s salary, which is at €2.2m per season. It remains to be seen if the Rossoneri will agree to such an operation.

Let him go to Torino on loan, then use him as exchange coin to buy Belotti !! …not so difficult or what ?
Caldara + 10mil = Belotti ?
You just said my mind @Allen. Cash plus Caldara as counterpart to land Belotti. Dream signing
We have no cash and Caldara is worth like 6M….
Would they be keen on Caldara + Conti +12m for Belotti? 🙂
Terrible deal. But, if we sell him and get Belotti on discount then yes, perfect! Otherwise just keep him for depth, I think he can be great depth for our backline
