CM: The truth about Belotti and rumours of a free transfer to Milan

Andrea Belotti has been linked with a move to AC Milan in the last few months, given that his contract is expiring and the Rossoneri are looking for a striker. However, he could end up staying at Torino.

The striker’s contract will expire at the end of next month and just a few weeks ago, his departure seemed certain. That isn’t the case anymore, especially since Milan have decided to sign Divock Origi on a free transfer instead.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri rumours have never been confirmed and the same can be said for the Napoli ones. In fact, to date, Belotti has not been contacted by any of the top clubs and that’s why a renewal with Torino is increasingly likely.

He still has a very strong bond with the Turin-based side and unless he can get a move to his boyhood club Milan, or a top side like Napoli, a renewal makes a lot of sense.

  1. Am a bit disappointed we didn’t go for him on a free. I don’t think his wage demands are crazy, he’s a Rossonero at heart and would accept a rotation role.

No brainer to add squad depth imho, sure he hasnt set the league on fire but only 3 years ago he was a €50mn rated forward.

    1. How many attackers should we have? 4, 5? Giroud, Ibrahimović and Origi, Rebić can play there if he stays. We definitely do not need Belotti and the fact that he got no offers to sign for free tells you a lot what clubs think about him.

  2. Not getting this guy now is a mistake, ibra is out for the season AND giroud should be off next after next season….getting this guy now makes alot of sense, I don’t see any striker in the league with his numbers for the past 5 seasons except immobile…Belloti is a fan like tonali and will bleed for this colours and if not for injuries, he could have hit double figures again….giroud and Origi is not enough and let me not hear anyone say rebic can play there….belloti, Origi (can play on the wings if needed) and giroud is okay for our striker role, atlease since we can’t spend 70mil on Nunez Darwin

    1. Rebić can play there, he played there and will play there. I’d put my money on him being better than Belotti any day. You don’t get players that will be 29 soon for next season, what kind of an idea is that? :DDDDD

        1. Which one of them was bought to be the 3rd choice and to play “next season”? bb you need a brain to comment and discuss with me, get one, whatever you write is just stupid.
