Charles De Ketelaere will undergo his AC Milan medical in the coming days and he could make his debut for the club already next weekend. Everything will depend on Stefano Pioli, though, who has the final word.
The negotiations took a very long time, perhaps longer than expected, but Milan finally managed to reach an agreement with Club Brugge. The total cost of the operation is €35m and there is also a resale clause in favour of the Belgian side.
As per Calciomercato.com, De Ketelaere will be at Pioli’s disposal already on Tuesday, provided that the times for the medical go according to plan. This means that the youngster could make his debut in the friendly against Vicenza next weekend.
However, it will be up to Pioli to decide whether to give the playmaker some extra rest or not ahead of the season opener on August 13. He will most certainly be called up for that game but he might not start. Either way, he will greet the Milan fans at San Siro for the first time then.
