CM: Why Milan won’t rush to sign a defender despite many players proposed

By Isak Möller -

It’s not exactly a secret that AC Milan are looking for a centre-back this transfer window, following the injuries of Simon Kjaer and Fikayo Tomori. That’s part of the reason why the Rossoneri won’t rush to sign a defender.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, many names have been mentioned with regards to Milan’s centre-back pursuit and quite a few players have been proposed to the club. The strategy, however, remains the same.

Bremer and Sven Botman are the No.1 targets for Milan and other alternatives will only be evaluated if they cannot get any of the two. Having said that, the world knows that the Rossoneri need a centre-back and this isn’t exactly helping.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara don’t want to feel like they are under the gun during the negotiations. Therefore, they have decided not to rush things while relying on Matteo Gabbia and Pierre Kalulu to get the job done on the pitch, acting less desperate.
