CorSera: Coppa Italia final will be played at San Siro due to rescheduling

By Isak Möller -

Earlier today, Serie A announced that five games have been postponed until May, after initially stating that they would be played behind closed doors. As a result of this, they had to do some rescheduling.

In fact, the Coppa Italia final will be played on May 20th, one week later than what was initially planned. As reported by Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews.it), though, the Olimpico won’t be available for that date as preparations for the Euros will take place.

Therefore, the final will take place at San Siro instead. Should Milan manage to knock out Juventus, although that isn’t exactly an easy task, it would be the perfect scenario. Inter are still in the competition, which could result in a fierce derby clash.

Then again, it won’t be easy for Stefano Pioli’s men on Wednesday, heading into the away leg with a 1-1 aggregate score. A tough task indeed, but not impossible.
