CorSera: Ibrahimovic set to miss Lazio vs. Milan as medical staff make their verdict

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is heading towards yet another miss game as a result of an injury, which is a blow for Milan. The latter announced the renewal of the Swede on Thursday, but it seems there won’t be any celebrations.

According to today’s edition of Corriere Della Sera, as cited by MilanNews, Ibrahimovic’s chances of recovering for the game against Lazio are minimal. He’s suffering from calf fatigue and he has been training individually in the last few days.

The medical staff are unwilling to take any risks in such a crucial period of the season and will thus advise Pioli not to play him, as things stand. The striker is expected to be back on the pitch with Milan against Benevento, therefore.

It’s a huge blow for the Rossoneri as they have struggled to find the back of the net recently, with Rafael Leao failing to deliver in the centre-forward. Furthermore, Mario Mandzukic doesn’t seem ready to play the full 90 minutes.

  1. No one wants fucking 90 mins from Mandzukic. Start him and bring on Leao later on. But the dumbfuck coach Pioli won’t budge.
