CorSera: Ibrahimovic’s renewal has been defined – second year hinges on UCL

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is destined to stay at AC Milan, following a successful return to the club. The Rossoneri are currently in talks with Mino Raiola and an agreement is seemingly close, a report claims.

According to today’s edition of Corriere Della Sera, as cited by MilanNews.it, Ibrahimovic has decided to stay at the club and the renewal thus shouldn’t be an issue. This season, he has scored ten goals and assisted a further five.

Elliott Management, the owners of Milan, will propose a salary of €5m per year to the Swede, excluding bonuses that could take the total amount up to €6m. This offer is only for one year, though there will be an option to renew.

However, this option will hinge on Champions League qualification, as reported by the newspaper. By the looks of it, the renewal is close and the Rossoneri fans can expect to see Ibrahimovic next season as well.
