CorSera: Less rotation against Lecce as Milan shift focus to the league

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will take on Lecce later today and they will be looking to bounce back after two consecutive draws in the league. Currently in 5th place, the Rossoneri will have to finish the season well.

Against Empoli and Bologna, Stefano Pioli rotated heavily in order to keep his stars in good shape for the games against Napoli. It paid off as they advanced to the semi-finals of the Champions League, but now they must focus on the league again.

As highlighted by today’s edition of Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews), the manager is well aware of this and will thus make less rotation this time out. In fact, he will make just four changes and they all make sense (read our preview here).

The spotlight will surely be on Ante Rebic, who will replace the injured Olivier Giroud up front. He has been chosen ahead of Divock Origi but the truth is that neither have impressed this season. This is a big chance for the Croatian to turn things around, though.
