AC Milan will be back in action this evening, taking on Hellas Verona away from home, and they only have three points on their mind. As Inter managed to beat Empoli, the Rossoneri must show great desire.
The win against Fiorentina was a big relief for Milan, especially given all the squandered chances in the game, but they will have to forget about that now and focus yet again. Inter have momentum after their great comeback and the Rossoneri must respond.
A draw would suffice to retake the lead in the Scudetto race, but Milan would ideally want to have that ‘draw cushion’ until the final game of the season. As highlighted by Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews), therefore, they must prove themselves tonight.
The Scudetto is there for the taking and on paper, Milan are a better side than Verona. They just need to get things right and although that can be very difficult, you cannot win the Scudetto without succeeding.
