CorSera: Milan have not offered the club manager role to Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced his retirement on the final day of the 2022/23 Serie A season and fans have since been speculating about his future. The truth, however, is that no decision has been yet.

The Swede made it very clear during his press conference that he will enjoy the summer and think about his future calmly. He will not make a rushed decision, in other words, and that’s why reports of him rejecting a role at Milan sounded a bit strange.

Yesterday, Calciomercato.com reported that Ibrahimovic hadn’t rejected any role at Milan, as he wants time to decide. Today, on the other hand, Corriere Della Sera (via MilanPress) states that Milan haven’t even offered him the club manager role.

In short, Ibrahimovic nor Milan have made a decision on the future and it remains to be seen if the parties will cross paths again in the future. For now, though, the Rossoneri will continue with the current set-up.

  1. Wouldn’t hurt to have Ibra stick around and guide this young team… Doubt he can stay retired long without wanting to get back into football one way or another…
