CorSera: Milan putting pressure on Giroud’s entourage as they could walk away

By Isak Möller -

Milan have been heavily linked with Olivier Giroud in the last few weeks and it seems that the Frenchman is still their No.1 choice for the attack. However, the negotiations have turned out to be tougher than expected.

As reported by Corriere Della Seria (via MilanNews), Milan want to close the deal for Giroud. Zlatan Ibrahimovic underwent surgery on his knee and will only be back in mid-August, just in time for the season to start.

Therefore, the Rossoneri want to accelerate their pursuit of Giroud but the problem lies with the entourage. There is an agreement with the player but the latter have, so far, failed to free their client from Chelsea.

Milan only want to sign the striker on a free transfer and will evaluate other profiles if that’s not the case. They are thus putting pressure on the encourage of Giroud as they could be forced to walk away from the race if nothing changes.
