Mario Mandzukic could potentially make his AC Milan debut on Saturday at San Siro against Atalanta, according to a report.

It was confirmed yesterday that Milan have agreed on a deal with the 34-year-old until the end of the current season with an option to extend the contract for the 2021-22 season.

During his first interview with the club’s TV channel, Mandzukic stated that he is ‘always ready’ having ‘trained a lot’ in recent times, adding how he is ‘committed to return to playing for a great club and to fight for trophies’.

His personal trainer Luka Milanovic gave an interview to Tuttosport in an attempt to put fans’ minds at ease, claiming that the forward should be 100% within three weeks.

According to il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Mandzukic could be set for involvement on Saturday when Milan host Atalanta at San Siro. The Croatian striker, who will carry out his first training with the group today, should be on the bench.
