In addition to Gigio Donnarumma, Milan are also working to renew the contract of Hakan Calhanoglu whose current deal also will expire in the summer. With just five months late, we are in a crucial phase.

According to Corriere Della Sera, as cited by MilanLive, there is optimism that an agreement can be found between the parties. With regards to the figures, it could be closed at €4.5m per year until 2025.

Gordon Stipic, Calhanoglu’s agent, made a request of €5m per year and Milan offered €4m as a response. By raising their offer a bit more, the Rossoneri will be able to get the ‘yes’ of the agent and thus renew the contract.

The former Bayer Leverkusen has become a crucial player in Stefano Pioli’s side and losing him for free would be devastating. Therefore, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working hard and a new meeting is expected next week.
