CorSera: The night of truth for Milan as top performance is needed vs. Atalanta

By Isak Möller -

We have arrived at the big day. This evening, Milan will take on Atalanta in what will be a Champions League decider for the Rossoneri, who most likely need all three points from the game to qualify for the competition.

As reported by today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sera (via MilanNews), Stefano Pioli will have to face the decisive game with the usual issues. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is injured and Ante Rebic is also in doubt due to calf problems.

Therefore, responsibility will be put on Rafael Leao’s shoulders. It will be a great opportunity for the Portuguese youngster to show his quality. He has had too many ups and downs but sending Milan to the UCL would be huge.

It would also give more importance to the project of Elliott Management, while it would be easier to tackle the Donnarumma and Calhanoglu issues. In short, it’s the night of truth for Milan and they will need to be at their best.
