CorSera: What Pioli told the players after Milan’s loss against Napoli

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan’s 22-game unbeaten run in Serie A came to an end on Sunday evening as Napoli claimed all three points at San Siro. Given that the Rossoneri played well, it was a very frustrating defeat.

Stefano Pioli’s men created several good chances and dominated large parts of the game. However, Napoli were efficient and managed to score two goals, while Milan squandered their chances and threw away the game.

After the clash, as reported by Corriere Della Sera (via SempreMilan.it), Pioli made sure to calm down his players and focus on the positives. After all, despite the defeat, it was probably their best performance of the season.

“No dramas, don’t panic. Let’s raise our heads straight away,” the manager told his squad after the full-time whistle. Milan will face Empoli after the international break and it will be crucial to bounce back with a win, continuing on the overall positive path they have been on this season.
