CorSport: A Milan defender has recovered to make the bench against Hellas Verona

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan defender Alessandro Florenzi has recovered from injury in time to make the bench against Hellas Verona, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), Florenzi will make his return to the Rossoneri bench on Sunday evening when Milan take on Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi.

The Roman defender has been out with a meniscus injury and the operation meant he has not featured for a month. He has now returned to training with the rest of the Milan squad.

At this important stage of the season, Milan boss Stefano Pioli will be grateful for every option that he has available from the bench with three tough fixtures to play.

Florenzi will be joined on the bench by Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has had an injury-hit campaign. Both players will be desperate to help their team get over the line and win a first Scudetto since 2010/11.
