Following the 1-1 draw against Juventus, AC Milan are keen on getting answers from the referees. In the final minute of the game, a penalty was awarded against Davide Calabria, which many thought was very harsh.
According to today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), the Rossoneri are asking for more clarity and information on the referees’ judgement, following the controversy that took place on Thursday evening.
Milan are wondering about the parameters that referee Paolo Valeri was following when awarding the penalty to Juventus. As the report continues, they want to fully understand the rule that is creating confusion even among the players themselves.
The second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final will be played at Allianz Stadium on March 4. Certainly, the late equaliser puts Milan in a much tougher position than if it had ended 1-0, as they now need to score due to the away goal rule.
