There is still distance between Suso and AC Milan over a contract renewal, according to the latest reports.
The Spaniard has been at the heart of the Rossoneri’s creativity again this season, having amassed a team-high eight assists in Serie A, in addition to five goals.
Milan are understandably worried about the €40million release clause in his contract and have apparently been in talks over a new deal amid interest from Arsenal.
According to Corriere dello Sport, in exchange for the elimination of the release clause, Milan will have to increase the salary of the player, who currently earns about €3million net per season.
The paper claims that the Diavolo are willing to offer €4million net per year, while the request of the player and his agent stand at €5m, with bonuses attached.
The parties will soon meet to look for a meeting point and perhaps sign the agreement.
