CorSport: Gazidis makes definitive decision on Ibrahimovic’s future after confrontation

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and AC Milan will part ways at the end of the season. After the confrontation with CEO Ivan Gazidis, which we were the first to report about, the 38-year-old is ready to leave the club for a second time.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via Milanlive.it), the departure is now inevitable but before saying goodbye, the parties will end the season in the most dignified and professional way possible.

The Swede is expected to have more tests of his right calf on Monday, working hard to recover from his injury. Milan are hoping that he can be ready at the beginning of July, perhaps for the game against Lazio on the 4th.

With regards to his future, the decision was made by Gazidis after the heated argument on Wednesday, when he paid a visit to Milanello for the first time in a long while. In any case, the chances of a stay were minimal from the start.
