CorSport: Giroud wants to be back for Milan’s encounter with Liverpool – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Olivier Giroud recently tested positive for Covid-19, which is a shame as he was just getting started at AC Milan. The brace against Cagliari was impressive but now he will miss at least one game.

As reported by today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Frenchman will miss the game against Lazio next Sunday. There simply isn’t enough time, even in the best of events, to have him fully ready for the game.

Therefore, Giroud is aiming to be back from start in the game against Liverpool, which will take place a few days later. Of course, he will have to test negative first but it would be a huge boost for Milan to have him available.

With that said, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will also be a contender for the starting spot in that game, seeing as he could feature already against Lazio. Milan don’t want to risk anything, though.
