CorSport: Ibrahimovic furious with referee over Bologna’s time-wasting – ‘Well done’

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was subbed on in the 70th minute of AC Milan’s game against Bologna yesterday and he was involved in a few situations. In particular, he wasn’t happy with how the referee conducted the game.

Towards the end of the clash, Bologna made sure to take their time when given the opportunity, especially with the goal kicks. This is something that didn’t go down too well with Ibrahimovic, who pointed it out to the referee.

As reported by Corriere Dello Sport, he was furious with the referee and on one occasions, when Skorupski had a goal kick, Ibrahimovic counted the seconds out loud. As the goalkeeper was allowed to continue with this, the Swede repeatedly said ‘complimenti’ to the referee, which in this context translates to a sarcastic ‘well done’.

And Ibrahimovic did have a point. In the second half, only 24 minutes and 32 seconds were actually played. Milan must improve and do better, but yesterday’s opponents did make the most out of the time-wasting.
