Stefano Pioli could make a change to the defensive department for tomorrow’s game against Monza, according to a report.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Simon Kjaer – with the excellent performance against Harry Kane and Tottenham – racked up his third consecutive start after the games against Inter and Torini.
Given that he spent a long time out with injury and is still trying to get back to his peak physical condition, he could be given a rest against Monza. It seems as though Fikayo Tomori will not recover in time to take his spot though as he continues to recover from injury.
That is why Matteo Gabbia is in contention to get the nod for the trip to the north of Lombardy, while it seems that Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw have their spots locked in for the moment given how they have impressed in the last couple of the games.
