CorSport: Daniel Maldini closing in on move to Hellas Verona – the formula

By Isak Möller -

Daniel Maldini is one of the players that are expected to leave AC Milan this summer, in need of playing time in order to continue his growth. By the looks of it, his new club will be fellow Serie A side Hellas Verona.

This past season, Maldini made 13 appearances for Milan and managed to find the back of the net one time (a crucial goal vs. Spezia). He only played four games from start, though, and it’s clear he needs more consistent playing time.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via SempreMilan), Hellas Verona are just one step away from securing the arrival of the attacking midfielder. He will arrive on loan, although the newspaper didn’t specify whether it will include a buy-out/buy-back.

Milan believe a lot in the player and it’s not just because father Paolo is the technical director of the club. The performances with the Primavera and a few ones with the first team have shown that Daniel indeed is a promising player.

  1. D. Maldini is ready to compete if he is given the opportunity. A loan deal will not help much. It will rather change his orientation. Give Maldini five straight starts and Milan will be amazed.
