CorSport: Milan could broaden Diaz negotiations to include Real Madrid right-back

By Isak Möller -

Milan are currently negotiating with Real Madrid over the future of Brahim Diaz, who could remain in Italy for at least one more year. However, the Rossoneri could also open talks for another position.

According to today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Alvaro Odriozola is a player that the two clubs could discuss as well. The right-back isn’t in the plans of new head coach Carlo Ancelotti and could ask to leave the club.

For the Rossoneri, it could perhaps be another loan opportunity, as they are trying to secure for Diaz. However, a permanent move shouldn’t be ruled out either if the interest is concrete, which we saw with Theo Hernandez in 2019.

It seems it’s just an idea for now, though, and also because Milan have other priorities for the right-back role. They already have Davide Calabria and Pierre Kalulu there, but they wouldn’t say no to getting Diogo Dalot back as well.
