AC Milan are keen on strengthening the squad ahead of the upcoming season. Of course, that also involves locking down their important players, such as Ante Rebic, whose loan deal will expire in 2021.
According to the Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Milan had a meeting with Fali Ramadani in Milan recently. Rebic’s agent, who was present in the city for various matters, was told of the Rossoneri’s intention to sign the striker permanently.
Paolo Maldini wants to take advantage of the Andre Silva case, as the Portuguese striker was loaned to Eintracht Frankfurt last august as a part of the Rebic deal. Therefore, a straight swap by evaluating them at the same price is the idea.
The obstacle, however, is in Rebic’s contract – specifically the clause that allows Fiorentina to receive 50% on the player’s resale. In other words, Frankfurt would like to raise price tag in order to not lose money in the operation.
