CorSport: Milan will not rush contract renewals for experienced duo

By Isak Möller -

Olivier Giroud and Simon Kjaer will expire at the end of the season and renewal talks with AC Milan will begin soon. However, the Rossoneri have intention of rushing the matter, a report claims.

Despite their age, 37 and 34 respectively, Giroud and Kjaer have shown that they can be useful for Milan still this season. And while they are getting older, there’s nothing wrong about their motivation, keen on continuing with the Rossoneri.

As reported by today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are expected to renew the duo ahead of the 2024-25 season. However, they will not rush the matter as they can ‘afford’ to wait, given that both players want to stay at the club.

The talks should start in January and the actual agreements could be reached towards the end of the season, as the newspaper concludes. For all the parties it will be better that way, as making important decisions several months before the new campaign is rather unnecessary.

  1. Renew giroud , he is leader in dressing room but use him as super sub not main striker. For kjaer , it is better see his performance until last season then decided renew or not
