CorSport: Pellegri could make his debut for Milan in clash against Lazio

By Isak Möller -

Olivier Giroud recently tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss the game against Lazio after the break. Luckily, AC Milan have good depth in this position as they also signed Pietro Pellegri this summer.

As reported by today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Ante Rebic will most likely start up front as Zlatan Ibrahimovic isn’t quite ready yet. We all know the Swede, though, so him starting shouldn’t be completely ruled out.

Pellegri could make his debut for the Rossoneri as there will be room for him off the bench. He wasn’t included in the Champions League squad so if he’s going to get any game time, it will be in the league or Coppa Italia.

He missed out on the game against Cagliari because he was out of shape, but he has worked hard and now seems ready to start his Milan adventure. Certainly, it will be interesting to see him with the red and black shirt.

Pellegri and Rebic up top in 442 imo is perfect.

Yes, let’s bench Brahim, one of our most in-form players at the moment.
