CorSport: Rangnick asks for free rein at Milan as negotiations continue

By Isak Möller -

Ralf Rangnick remains in pole position to replace Stefano Pioli on AC Milan’s bench, as the Rossoneri are heading for a youth revolution this summer. However, an agreement is yet to be reached between the parties.

According to today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), the German manager has drawn up the key points for his arrival. In recent days, he has asked to be given free rein by the Rossoneri.

This, of course, would allow him to have a say on important decisions such as the potential farewells of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paolo Maldini. By the looks of it, the latter is almost certain to leave if Rangnick arrives this summer.

As the newspaper continues, an agreement will only be reached with Rangnick if he is given influence on the transfer market and the work methods. Otherwise, other scenarios will open but this is something that Milan aren’t even considering for the time being.
