CM: Milan set for imminent midfield revolution – assessing each player’s future

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will change things up, the casting for the midfield has just started. Almost all of the Rossoneri midfielders could leave this summer, with the exception of Ismael Bennacer, Hakan Calhanoglu and perhaps Rade Krunic.

With regards to the Algerian, as reported by Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo, Paris Saint-Germain are very interested. However, bar any sensational offers, he will remain at the San Siro for next season as well.

Meanwhile, there are no longer doubts about the goodbyes of Giacomo Bonaventura and Lucas Biglia. Several Serie A clubs such as Torino, Fiorentina and Lazio are interested in the Italian while the Argentine could move to Spain.

Franck Kessie has been considered sellable for the last three transfer windows but has always remained at the club due to the lack of adequate offers. The price tag is currently at around €28m and an offer in that ballpark could result in a departure.

Lucas Paqueta, who is liked by Fiorentina a lot, is also on the market. President Rocco Commisso has accelerated talks with the Rossoneri to reach an agreement. Benfica remain in the running, though, as they can offer Florentino Luis in return.

From the sale of the former Flamengo man, Milan are asking for €35m, which could be the funds needed to make an attempt for Sandro Tonali and Dominik Szoboszlai this summer.
