Alexis Saelemaekers has been linked with a departure since the start of the summer but there have not been any obvious suitors for the Belgian. However, recently the AC Milan winger received an offer from Spain.
Saelemaekers is one of four right-wingers in the Milan squad currently, along with Samuel Chukwueze, Christian Pulisic and Luka Romero, and he’s not expected to get much playing time this season. Therefore, he could leave the Rossoneri.
According to today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (see photo below), Saelemaekers could indeed leave Milan this summer and Real Betis sent him a contract offer yesterday. An offer that the Belgian now will evaluate along with Milan, having trained separately at Milanello in the last few days.
Interestingly enough, Milan published the player photos on their website today and there’s no picture for Saelemaekers. The other players that don’t have a photo are Fode Ballo-Toure, Mattia Caldara and Divock Origi, which says a lot.
