Despite struggling with injuries this season, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has bagged 12 goals in the league this season. And that is in just eight games, proving that the 39-year-old still has what it takes to perform at the top.
When the Swede returned in January of last year, to a Milan side in despair, not many believed that he would be able to make a difference. One year on, however, it’s clear just how important he has been in Stefano Pioli’s team.
In fact, the numbers are so outstanding that Corriere Dello Sport (see photo) decided to take a look at his career stats. And as shown below, Ibrahimovic has never been as good (goal-wise) as he is right now.
With 8 goals in 12 games, the striker averages 1.5 goals per games and also has an average of 52 minutes per goal. Simply outstanding, and he’s the joint-second top goalscorer in the league, despite playing a lot less than the others.
