AC Milan will have to pick themselves up following the big defeat against Inter on Saturday evening. As highlighted by Billy Costacurta, the fact they don’t have many Italians might help.
The Rossoneri were deservedly beaten by their city rivals and will have to bounce back with a strong performance against Newcastle on Tuesday evening. Training resumed at Milanello today, so there is no time to dwell on the loss.
As stated by Billy Costacurta live on Sky Italia (via MilanNews), the fact that Milan don’t have many Italians might help in forgetting about the derby loss. While we all know it’s a special game, they might not have the same bond, he argues.
“If there is one small mall advantage for Milan in all of this, it’s that they don’t have many Italian players. The foreigners think in a different way, even if I believe this derby will be hard to forget even for them,” he stated.
The game against Newcastle is scheduled for 18:45 CEST on Tuesday evening and Fikayo Tomori will be back in action. Given how poorly Milan defended against Inter, his return is certainly a welcome one.
The only way to forget that humiliation is by sacking Pioli
Pioli should have been fired instead of Maldini. I believe Pioli’s tactical approach are getting worst. Maldini was a central part in motivating Milan had the last two seasons.
Lol. Honestly let’s just complete the transition to a totally foreign team already.. Change the colors, get rid of Calabria, Pobega, and Florenzi and change the name to something different. We’re almost there so let’s just do it!
Right on, i can just about see it Milan Jets, or Milan Bucks, better yet Milan Nets 🙂
They can call them self AC Woke, Since it is part of woke culture to hate on the natives.
Love this!! Hope Cardinal sees this! What about a rainbow as emblem?
The new 3rd jersey already has some rainbow colors lol.
Haha right? I can definitely see that. Just wait for the logo rebrand in the next few years…
Yeah, and if they had more Italians who fought for the jersey that wouldn’t get smacked by Inter every time they play them.
Silver linings and all that…..
Chúng ta đã mất hết bản sắc mà mấy năm Maldini dầy công xây dựng.
Didn’t see it that way before, but being an Italian and academy product himself, it’s a solid point by Billy. That’s why I always prefer our own academy products compared to the youths scouted from the likes of France, Belgium, etc. At leas they’re the ones who know how hard it is to fight for the colors.
