Gigio Donnarumma continues to be one of the best players (and consistent) at AC Milan. Certainly, in recent weeks, he has been immense for the Rossoneri. Of course, this hasn’t gone unnoticed for the management.
During last night’s show on Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it), Gianluca Di Marzio provided us with an update on the contract situation of the goalkeeper. Gigio’s current deal with the club will expire in the summer of 2021, meaning a renewal is needed soon.
As stated by the report, Milan have started to evaluate his future. In fact, contacts with his agent – Mino Raiola – are expected to start in February. In other words, the Rossoneri have set a timeline for the renewal and intend to complete it.
Clearly, it would be a risk to wait any longer as other clubs could then swoop in. Hopefully, given how important he has been as of late, Zvone Boban and Paolo Maldini will reach an agreement with Raiola soon.
