Di Marzio confirms contacts with Rangnick; offers update on Ibrahimovic’s future

By Isak Möller -

Ralf Rangnick continues to be heavily linked with AC Milan for next season, with the rumours receiving extra fuel in the last few days. In fact, now various credible sources are suggesting that he will be the next boss at the club.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews.it), the German has been contacted by the Rossoneri about the job. By the looks of it, CEO Ivan Gazidis is looking to complete yet another management revolution.

Furthermore, as the reporter explains, a manager normally conducts the transfer market with people of great trust. And since Zvone Boban and Paolo Maldini weren’t set up for a meeting with Rangnick, it means that they were never meant to work together.

As for the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Di Marzio stated that it’s hard to imagine a renewal if Boban and Maldini end up leaving, since they were the ones who wanted him from the start.
