According to Gianluca Di Marzio, AC Milan are closing in on the signing of Angel Correa, as the latter’s agent is about to arrive in Milan to unlock the negotiations.

For the Argentine striker, the Rossoneri remain the priority, despite interest from other clubs. Therefore, his agent is at work to unlock the negotiations, along with the Milan management.

There is growing optimism that the Spanish side will accept the initial offer of €40m plus €5m in bonuses, as they are looking to bring in Rodrigo from Valencia for €60m. In the coming days, more updates will arrive on the matter, which has been a talking point for weeks.

Meanwhile, Milan have more or less decided to keep Suso, regardless of the eventual arrival of Correa. Di Marzio states that Correa will primarily be used as a second striker anyway, and not as a trequartista. Instead, the Rossoneri will aim to offload Andre Silva and Castillejo.
