Di Marzio: Milan could receive €4m in bonuses from De Ketelaere’s move

By Isak Möller -

Charles De Ketelaere has said yes to Atalanta and will soon undergo the medical tests for the club. In the loan deal, AC Milan have also managed to include €4m in bonuses, a report claims.

Milan and Atalanta have reached an agreement for an initial loan deal and as was first reported by Daniele Longo, De Ketelaere has said yes to the move. The only thing missing is the medical, which will take place very soon.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the details of the deal are the following: €3m paid loan, €22m buy-out clause, €4m in bonuses and a 10% resale clause. The medical tests should take place either tomorrow or on Tuesday.

The bonuses, which haven’t been reported about by any other source, will likely become relevant if Atalanta decide to redeem the player. In any case, it’s certainly a good deal for Milan given the first season of the Belgian youngster.

  1. I think in this option Milan and De Ketelaere are not obligated to accept 23 million move after loan season.
In case of De Ketelaere redeem his career in next season he could stay in Ac Milan.

  2. A very smart deal for Milan, but I hope he does well during his spell at Atalanta and Milan refuse to sell, and ends up turning out great for Milan in the future. Forza MILAN!❤️🖤

  3. For you who want cdk to stay and comparing him to salah and kdb, i have one question for you.
Do you honestly think that salah and kdb would become the players they are now if they stayed at chelsea?
They are who they are now only AFTER they left chelsea.
Sometimes player is a flop in one club and becomes a star in another club.
    That’s just how it is.

      1. Then he’s levels started dropping and he was allowed to leave for free to Juve and we all know how that went, he was the midfield lynchpin of Conte’s dominating team

        1. You obviously don’t know how that went. We had offered Pirlo a new 1year deal like every other player over 30 years old had accepted, but he wanted a 3 year deal. Because Milan didn’t want to make any exceptions (otherwise the rest would ask for longer deals as well), Pirlo decided to leave. He could have had a much longer career at Milan but at a higher age the club can’t take too much financial risks anymore and was right to limit the contract prolongations.

          1. And yet we made an exception on the current salary cap for Leao, didn’t we? If a club had wanted to make something happen they could have. For a world class midfielder like Pirlo, almost last of his kind, he should have gotten whatever he wanted until he retired or was ready to go to MLS or whatever. Full stop. The fact that he went on to Juventus and had another 3-4 years at a very high level and won four scudetti bothers me to no end still.

    1. Surely, he needs to leave to grow then come back good with lots of Confidence, cos I think that’s the only problem he has right now LACK OF CONFIDENCE

  4. A lot of people never played the game, they don’t understand the mental aspect of it. He’s technically gifted yes, but he’s a mental midget, mentally and physically weak. Best of luck to him, but he doesn’t fit this Milan squad. Let’s get that cash and move along.

    1. @Kaka, exactly! 💯 I’m a left back that loves to attack with great defensive strength, I’m second to none, but I fear pushing forward cos I never want to be blamed cos people in my area are ready to criticize and make jest of one. There’s this a bit lack of confidence in me when I play at home, but always a beast when I play out from home, people wanting to know where I’m from. I’m a complete player when I play out cos I play with no fear. At several places I’ve been, I’m called Italo, Maldini, Evra, Gattuso and even Okocha cos I play freely. ALL ABOUT CONFIDENCE. CDK needs it❤️🖤
