AC Milan made progress in talks over a new deal for Davide Calabria after a meeting with his agent on Monday, it is claimed.
Calabria was Milan’s starting right-back in the 2018-19 season, and it is believed that the club have been working towards renewing his contract, which expires in 2022.
On Monday, Calabria’s agent Alessandro Lucci was at Casa Milan. Furthermore, on Monday night’s Calcio Mercato L’Originale, Gianluca Di Marzio reported that progress have been made between the parties for a renewal.
Not only are the club working on a renewal for the sake of securing his future for even longer, but it’s very possible they also want to reward the 22-year-old for his good performances.
Calabria has stood for an impressive personal development throughout the past two seasons. He’s not only cemented himself for the right-back position at Milan, but he’s also created shouts for him to be called up to the Italian national team.
