Di Stefano explains why Terracciano’s arrival is important for Milan: “A wild card”

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Hellas Verona for the transfer of Filippo Terracciano, with the player set to arrive next week. It’s an important signing for the Rossoneri, as highlighted by Peppe Di Stefano.

Milan will pay €4.5m plus €1m in bonuses to Hellas Verona and there will also be a 10% future resale clause. A good signing for the Rossoneri, considering that Terracciano is still just 20 years old and has shown great promise this season.

Speaking live on Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, the Milan-focused correspondent Peppe Di Stefano shared his thoughts on the signing. He stated that it’s an important one for the Rossoneri, especially since Terracciano can play in many positions.

“Terracciano, being a wild card, can play as a right and left-back but also as a midfielder. Who knows, maybe Pioli is already thinking about this. Milan are losing players between injuries, the AFCON and Krunic, who is completely out of the project,” he stated.

Ismael Bennacer is currently with Algeria for the AFCON, with the return date unknown for now, and Krunic is getting closer to Fenerbahce. Not to mention the fact that Theo Hernandez has been forced to play at centre-back, and the left-back position missing a proper deputy.

Milan will face Empoli tomorrow and you can take a look at the probable XI here, with Luka Jovic set for the bench.
