Diaz stresses importance of the fans ahead of Milan-Roma: “It’s wonderful”

With less than 45 minutes left until the kick-off between AC Milan and Roma, Brahim Diaz spoke to the media about the Rossoneri’s task. As you would expect, he’s very excited about playing in front of the home fans.

It’s Milan’s first game back at San Siro since the win against Fiorentina before the World Cup break. The stadium is sold out and given that it’s also a big game, a great atmosphere is expected this evening.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Diaz spoke about the game and the win against Salernitana last time out. The No.10 has been given the chance to start once again ahead of Charles De Ketelaere.

“It’s wonderful to be back at San Siro in front of our fans, who are incredible and support us. We know they are always there to support us. It was an important victory against Salernitana, but today’s game will be more important. Roma are a strong team, but we are Milan,” he stated.

“My position? I like playing between the lines. Let’s see what we can do today. We’ve prepared well.”

Napoli managed to win their game against Sampdoria and thus there is some pressure on the Rossoneri to claim all three points tonight. The gap, if so, would be five points and that keeps the Scudetto race well and truly alive.
