Brahim Diaz and the lack of contribution since December – big opportunity tomorrow

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz is expected to play from the first minute in AC Milan’s clash at Lazio tomorrow and it will be a big opportunity for him. In many ways, it’s an opportunity he must make the most of after a long drought.

The Spaniard had a fantastic ending to last season and thus Milan decide to renew his loan, also adding a buy-out clause in the deal. It hasn’t gone exactly to plan, though, and he’s expected to return to Real Madrid in the summer.

His Milan future might have been decided already, therefore, but if he’s to have any chance of staying then he must break his drought. In fact, he hasn’t scored or assisted since December, when he got one assist against Genoa and Salernitana each.

For his last goal, we have to go back to September when he found the back of the net against Spezia. Tomorrow’s game will be an opportunity for him to break the drought and Milan need him to be the source of creativity, given the attacking struggles of the Rossoneri.
