Donadoni discusses Milan’s top-four pursuit: “Nothing is taken for granted”

AC Milan have picked themselves up after a terrible start to 2023, winning three consecutive games. Their pursuit of a top-four finish is thus very much alive but anything can happen, as Roberto Donadoni argues.

Milan went from being Scudetto contenders to fighting for a Champions League spot after going seven games without a win. Fortunately, they have now managed o bounce back and things are looking much better, even if the road is still long.

Speaking to Tuttosport, as cited by SempreMilan.it, the former Milan player Roberto Donadoni shared his thoughts on the top-four race. He stated that all of the teams behind Napoli are fighting for top four rather than the Scudetto.

“Atalanta, like Milan, are playing for a top-four finish. The Champions League place is fought for by all the teams under Napoli. They are not few and nothing is taken for granted. You lose a game, or if you have a bad period like what happened to Milan, you risk being left out,” he stated.

Milan’s game against Atalanta is scheduled for 20:45 CET tomorrow and it should be a great atmosphere at San Siro. The fans have really backed the Rossoneri in this tough period and now that things are looking up, they can reap the rewards.
