AC Milan’s owners are keeping their focus on the Atalanta match despite constant rumours around the takeover of the club, a report claims.
According to Tuttosport (via Milan News), the current owners are refusing to be fazed by the noise around the club’s prospective takeover by Investcorp or RedBird Capital Partners.
Elliott Management are not interested in being dragged into a loud media circus around the sale of the club. That is why they are focusing on Milan’s fight for the Scudetto which continues on Sunday evening.
The negotiations for the club have reportedly entered a stalemate and that is why Elliott are now taking their time and waiting to see if Stefano Pioli can deliver a first Serie A title for the Rossoneri since 2011.
The value of the club will most likely grow if they have the title of the best team in Italy, so all eyes are on the match against Atalanta on Sunday.
May God helped us Amen…
These established corporate investment groups are all the same. It will make no difference if Elliot sells to one of them, they’ll do exactly what Elliot did: let the leadership at Milan make the footballing decisions. They’re not run by ego-maniacal shysters like Berlusconi and the Chinese criminal he sold Milan to a few years ago. They’re in it to make money, they feel no need to get involved in the running of the club just to boost their own fragile ego.
So nothing would change, except maybe Maldini and co. would have a bit more money to spend (but that’s not a big deal either, because spending is heavily regulated by UEFA, you can’t just spend whatever you want).
